Meet J.D. Ford
J.D. Ford is a second-generation piano technician and the founder of Ford Piano Consultation. With over 15 years of experience in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, he has tuned over 6,000 pianos and 1.5 million strings.
Known as one of the best in the business, J.D. built a successful piano service company before retiring from direct tuning three years ago to support his wife through her battle with an autoimmune disease.
Today, he offers his extensive knowledge through consultation services, helping piano owners and buyers make informed decisions and connecting them with trusted technicians and movers in the industry.
1969 - Where It All Began
J.D.'s father began tuning pianos, while his mother specialized in piano repairs, marking the beginning of the Ford family's journey in the piano industry.
Early 2000s - The Next Generation
J.D. Ford followed in his parents' footsteps, becoming a piano technician and rebuilder, bringing new innovations to the craft.
2008 - A Family Business
J.D.'s wife, Salicia Ford, joined the business, working alongside him for over 10 years and strengthening the family's commitment to piano craftsmanship.
